In the three dimensional work shown the artist has converted some images into three dimensional pieces and also created new works suitable for this format.
From the working stage specially prepared boards are coated with hand made papers. These are then cut shaped and sanded to the desired pieces required. Normal painting procedures are then applied, each piece being handled like a canvas. When all the sections are complete the finished pieces are then layered and stuck together and then placed in a wall box.
In
New York with cubes different thickness of cubes were built, painted and then layered into the painting structure.
Adventures on a four bar theme required 2000 pieces to be hand cut and shaded in grey on a 1 to 10 scale. This was then interlaced with the rainbow structures. The artist has also inserted this type of three dimensional work into tables.
Commissions can be accepted for this type of work as one off pieces or a series for private clients or companies. Tables can also be produced in strict editions of low numbers depending on the complexity of the piece.
